Things you'll need to ask us to change for you

While most settings in Sparx Science can be managed directly by your school, some changes need to be made by the Sparx team. This article outlines which changes you'll need to contact us about and how to request them.

Affected changes


School details

  • School name changes

  • Academic year start/end dates (please note we cannot set a date from the past for your academic year start date)

  • The academic year reset date default is 31st August, and changing this setting will apply to all your school's Sparx systems. Before requesting this change therefore, please consult with your other Heads of Department

  • Changes to your school group/trust affiliations

Technical settings

  • Removal from the schools leaderboard


How to request changes

If you need to contact us to make one of these changes, please use the 'Help & Support' button at the top of your Sparx site, and ask to talk to a member of the team.

Important information

  • Changes may take up to 24 hours to take effect

  • Some of the changes listed above will affect all Sparx products in your school

  • Certain changes may require approval from your school's key contacts
