Using homework insights (Follow up Five)

How to use the Insights page to identify gaps in understanding and deliver whole-class feedback

Updated today

The Insights page is designed to highlight gaps in understanding across the class by generating a set of five questions that the class struggled with the most, referred to as the Follow-up five.

To see these questions, select the Insights tab from the left hand menu and select the relevant class and homework week. You can view All subjects, or filter to see only one science subject by selecting the relevant tab (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Skills):

You can also select Presentation view to display all of the questions on the screen in one go, or Print to print out all the questions:

You can still view the science subjects all together or separately in the Presentation View, and you can also see the screen with and without answers:

You can use the Follow-up Five questions as a lesson starter and within this view, you can:

  • View answers to each question

  • Zoom in on particular questions

  • Change to a different question set for further practice
