Sparx Science uses Wonde to securely connect to your school's MIS, ensuring your class and student data stays up to date automatically.

At our request, Wonde will send your Network Manager an authorisation request
Your Network Manager needs to approve this request to allow the connection
Once approved, Wonde will carry out some due diligence before making the connection live (usually within 24 to 48 hours)
Once live, Wonde will begin syncing data between your MIS and Sparx Science

Wonde syncs with your MIS approximately every 4 hours
Sparx Science then syncs with Wonde automatically every night
Changes made in your MIS will typically be reflected in Sparx Science within 24 hours

If your school changes MIS providers, follow these steps:
Notify Wonde by emailing [email protected] about your planned migration
Wonde will ensure your new MIS is connected correctly, and let Sparx know once it is complete
Sparx will:
Temporarily pause your nightly sync
Check the new data to ensure student records and classes match
Perform a manual sync once everything looks correct
Turn the nightly auto sync back on
Important Notes
You may need to wait a few days after migration for everything to return to normal
New students or class changes made in your MIS during this time might not be reflected immediately in Sparx Science
The migration process is handled carefully to ensure no data is lost

How long does it take for changes in our MIS to appear in Sparx?
Changes typically appear within 24 hours through the automatic nightly sync. If you need changes to appear more quickly, you can perform a manual sync in Management > Class Manager > Import and Manage Classes. Select Preview Changes in the bottom right, this will show you a list of any changes that have been picked up from your MIS since your last sync. You can select the small drop down arrow to see details of the students and the changes. Once you are happy to import these changes, select Sync.

If you're experiencing issues with your MIS connection, first check with your MIS administrator that your MIS is set up correctly. If problems persist, contact us using the 'Help & Support' option in your Sparx Science site and ask to speak to a member of the team.

There is no cost to the school for using Wonde, however, we recommend checking with your MIS provider as in rare cases they may charge for integration services.
